Dogs are a member of the family for such a short time…

With a calm, caring and professional approach, I see every dog as a beloved family member. With over 10 years of experience of dog photography and a gentle, thoughtful approach, I create a relaxed studio environment where dogs feel safe, seen, and celebrated. My work isn’t just about beautiful pet photography portraits — it’s about capturing the heart of who they are, so their humans can treasure those memories for a lifetime.

Hey, I’m Kath…

A woman with light skin, freckles, and blue eyes smiling. She is wearing hoop earrings, a silver necklace, and a black-and-white plaid shirt. The background includes wooden surfaces and a brown textured wall.

I'm an experienced studio dog photographer in Shefford, Bedfordshire specialising in soulful, timeless portraits. My calm approach puts your dog at ease, allowing me to capture the little moments that mean everything—the tilt of their head, the sparkle in their eyes, the quiet way they look at you.

To me, my job isn’t just taking photo’s, it’s capturing lasting memories of a bond like no other.

There’s a moment - just before the shutter clicks, when your dog forgets the camera is there…

That’s when I capture the magic.

Studio Sessions are £159 which includes a Fine Art Matted 10x8" print (12x10” overall size).

Sessions after Christmas 2025 will be held in my purpose built garden studio in Shefford, Bedfordshire. Until then, sessions are held at a dog friendly village hall around 15mins drive from Shefford. You will have the option to use multiple backdrops during your session, giving us the chance to create a varied and beautifully finished collection of portraits.

The session normally lasts up to an hour which gives plenty of time for up to 2 dogs, energetic pups who need a little time to settle, or senior and sensitive dogs who would benefit from more regular breaks. By working at your dog’s pace in a calm and comfortable environment, we can capture natural, expressive moments that become timeless portraits celebrating their character.

After your session we will book in for your in-person Viewing & Ordering Appointment where you will view all of your images, select your favourites for your 10x8” print and any further products you’d like. Please see below for more information on additional products and digital bundles.

If you have any questions then please get in touch.

The Four Simple Steps…

  • A curly-haired, brown puppy with floppy ears looking at the camera against a dark background. Image taken by Kath Burgess, a dog Photographer in the UK.

    Step One

The first step is to get in touch! Use the contact form here to start the process of booking your dog photography session. You will then receive a questionnaire via email which will ask you all about your dog and their likes and dislikes. Once you’ve sent this back, I will be in touch to go over any questions you have and book in your Session. Please note, no session is booked until your session fee has been received and a confirmation email has been sent.

    Step Two

It’s time for your session! All sessions are relaxed and no matter how anxious or “bonkers” your dog is, we will allow for plenty of time to capture beautiful images for you to treasure. This is your dogs time to shine and be their true selves.

Please remember to bring your diary along to your session so we can book your Viewing & Ordering Appointment in.
